For daily cleaning, simply wipe the surface with warm water and a mild pH-neutral detergent. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners, heavy-duty degreasers, or oven cleaners, as these can damage the resin binder.
Quartz is highly heat-resistant, but it is **not** heatproof. We strongly recommend always using trivets or hot pads for hot pans and pots, especially when placing them directly from a hob or oven, to prevent thermal shock and potential surface damage.
Quartz is a non-porous engineered stone, meaning it never requires sealing and is extremely stain-resistant. Granite is a porous natural stone and requires periodic sealing but offers unique, natural patterns. Both are highly durable.
No, standard quartz worktops are designed for indoor use only. Prolonged exposure to direct UV rays from the sun will cause the colour to fade and the resin to break down, leading to structural issues.
The choice between 20mm and 30mm is primarily aesthetic. Both thicknesses offer the same level of durability and strength for typical kitchen use. 30mm provides a more traditional, chunkier look, while 20mm offers a sleeker, modern profile.
